New York Photography Collection

This past weekend I went to New York City and took my poor, crummy 4.0 megapixel digital camera. I took lots of pictures and of those I am posting the most successful shots. Enjoy.

Also, I have a handful of non-photography pieces ready to be uploaded as soon as I have the time, perhaps this weekend, so be looking forward to that, watchers.

Thanks for the page views and comments; they are much appreciated in getting my page "out there" like it ought to be.

Just subscribed to Deviant Art. Well, it's about time really.

And can you say Ripstik 5 times really fast? Neither can I. But I can carve real tight on one 5 times in a row. And that's something to be said considering it's supposed to be a tough thing to pick up. I love riding it. If you don't know what a Ripstik is, it's a skateboard with only 2 wheels. And it needs torsion to move. But that's a science word, so I can't help you there.

Anyway, I'm really into to scratchboards right now. So expect a ridiculous amount of them. My apologies.

As always, thanks for watching.

The rumor is true: I wake up each morning, chug V8, and dance for an hour to sketchy indie reggae and asian tech-pop before starting my normal day. I hope you don't think differently of me now.

And yes, I am as upset as you are that Across the Universe did not get an Oscar for Costume Design or at least get a nomintation for Cinematography. That movie was ART.

And bless you Jon Stewart for this one: "Julie Christie was absolutely amazing in 'Away From Her.' Brilliant movie. It was a moving story of a woman who forgets her own husband. Hillary Clinton called it the 'feel good movie of the year.' "

A saddle.

Well, you may have noticed an upswing recently...I uploaded some 10-15 pieces of art over the last week. But now I'm back to work again, so nothing new should be expected for a few days. But that which is in progress looks fabulous and I can't wait to upload it! So we have reached the saddle in my work, a valley if you wish.

And I poems and other writings I've been reluctant to put up, but maybe I'll get round to it when I'm feeling less wishy-washy.

Scrapbooking in Scraps.

I've took to uploading pages from my scrapbook. I'm not exactly happy that scrapbooking goes to scraps, but oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

On another note, I have been informed that the winner of the HSC portrait is P. Harkins, and I will be doing my next photo-realistic artwork for him. This piece will be of him next to his cape buffalo game. I have done little on it so far that is recognizable, but I think in due time I will post work in progress images, so if you are interested in keeping tabs, you can look for it in scraps as well.

BTW, has anyone tried those Sammies at Quiznos? Seriosly, Alpine Chicken is the best. I'm not advertising or nothing, I don't even work there or have stock in Quiznos, but I got to holler out the good things in life, and that's one of them. I don't believe I have tried anything else on the menu. Haha.

And on further news, I am proud to announce my loss: 10 pounds now since New Years. I tell you what, excercising nearly everyday is about the best thing I've done for myself in a long while. I'll be back to my prom dress size in no time.

And my motivation to look my best, no doubt, comes from my longing to be with a certain someone...but I'll save that for another time. :)
